About Me
I'm an experienced creative worker in broadcast and print media, savvy with the technical tools of production and the development of strategies that make producing content worth the investment. I enjoy working at the nexus of video, marketing, and education, believing that every good product must tell a compelling story that excites people into action.
My video work encompasses live sports, reality TV, commercials, corporate marketing communications, and eLearning content. As a technician, I have lensed 15 years of programming as a Camera Operator and Director of Photography (underwater, jib, and steadicam, too!), and have mixed sound as an ENG A2 for 10 years. After honing expert technical skills, I began writing and producing reality TV shows and commercials, and have moved into producing content for eLearning modules and corporate communications for the last 9 years.
I am a huge proponent of life-long learning, having benefited from the knowledge of world-class professors and co-workers, and I bring a passion to teaching and instructional design that reflects my appreciation for knowledge creation. I have been an Adjunct Faculty member at several Southern California colleges since 2006, primarily teaching an array of classes in TV production, sound recording, photography, and graphic design.
If I'm not working, it's all about surfing, water sports and music. I generally ride longboards with a modern style, am comfortable fishing salt and fresh water, and play the drums in a jazz-funk band called Poolside Syndicate.
